THE IPC CLADDING PAINTING PROCESS.

1. All health and safety process’s and site set up are put in place before the crew starts any work on site.
2. High pressure water cleaning is used to remove all loose and flaking materials, salts and other surface contaminants, scouring away dirt, grime and especially chalking, the powdery pigment left on the surface.
3. Oil contamination will be degreased with scrubbing action using a high performance coating cleaner and degreaser.
4. We then rinse substrate thoroughly with fresh water to remove all soluble materials and allow drying.
5. Any exposed metal surfaces which show signs of rusting are to be treated by scraping, chipping, wire brushing, or mechanical means to remove all rust.
6. Please note; it is essential to ensure that apparently sound existing cladding coatings still has good adhesion before over coating. This will be checked by carrying out a cross hatch test on a sufficient number of elevations. Where the adhesion is suspect, the area will be stripped of old coating and primed.

• The compound is used to site the site managers office, crew welfare unit and toilets.
• All site plant is stored here out of harms way at the end of every shift. 
• The waste skip is also stored here, and rubbish and debris will always be store here and not all over the site.
• Every job has a dedicated site manager that stays on site with his crew from set up until hand over. 
• Your dedicated site manager will be SSSTS and will hold first aid and fire marshal qualifications. They will run all site health and safety protocol while managing the crew and ensuring quality standards are always upheld, busy.
