We have a long relationship with Go Outdoors, this project is just one of many we have completed for them over the years. The duration of the contract was one week with a value of £8,695.00.

Go Outdoors contracted us to paint the cladding and all previously coated surfaces on the front elevation of their store.

High pressure water cleaning is used on the cladding to remove all loose and flaking materials, salts and other surface contaminants, scouring away dirt, grime and especially chalking, the powdery pigment left on the surface. Once cleaned and prepped we applied one coat of primer and 2 coats of Steel and Cladding, semi-gloss top coat. This was all applied by using a spray system. The windows were degrease with a proprietary cleaner, made good by hand abrading, then carefully mask off and sprayed, applying 2 coats of Tikurilla Temadur 20, 2 pack epoxy coating. We cleaned down all the steelwork with pressurised air. Mechanically grind and hand sand the substrate to remove any loose paint and rust before spot priming with Johnstone’s Quick Dry Metal Primer. We  then applied one oil based undercoat and one oil based finish coat of Johnstones ultra gloss paint. All high elevations were accessed via mobile platforms.
